Recipe Orange biscuits of of 28-11-2015 [Updated 09-03-2018]
This morning's orange biscuits are the brothers of the lemon ones of some time ago, do you remember them? Fragrant, crumbly, aromatic and that melt in the mouth. Ivano and Elisa liked them so much that they brushed them off in no time at all and even entered their top ten favorite biscuits: P To make soft orange biscuits even more particular in taste, I added some grated star anise, but if you can't find it, you can also use other spices such as cinnamon, nutmeg or vanilla, if you prefer. Last thing, obviously use organic oranges, because you will need a lot of peel for the cookies to take on the intense orange taste. I wish you a sweet weekend together with the people you love and if you mess with something new, let me know :)
How to make orange cookies
Mix the butter and sugar together in a bowl.
Then add the egg.
Then add grated orange peel, orange juice and grated star anise
Finally add flour and yeast.
Knead until you get a homogeneous dough.
Let the dough rest in the fridge for an hour, covered with plastic wrap.
Divide the dough into balls the size of a walnut, then roll them first in the granulated sugar and then in the icing sugar.
Place them gradually on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper, then cook for about 10-12 minutes at 180 ° C, in a convection oven.
At least let it cool before serving.
