- Dip biscuits briefly in coffee and arrange 12 of them in the bottom of a 20cm dish. Spread half the mascarpone mixture over the biscuits. Repeat with remaining biscuits and mascarpone. Cover and chill 1 hour. Sprinkle with cocoa just before serving.

Used different ingredients.In the main I stuck to the recipe, but added some coffee liquer to the coffee mix (Tesco's own coffee liquer works really well). I also dipped the first layer of lady fingers in coffee, then poured some more over it (until it couldn't absorb anymore), this made it a little softer. Great recipe and so easy. I used half coffee half baileys and added a whisked egg white to the mascarpone to lighten it but this is a good solid recipe.-16 Feb 2014
Easy Tiramisu recipe - Recipes
My 10-Minute Tiramisu recipe takes the hassle out of making a traditional Tiramisu by simplifying the process while still providing delicious results! This Tiramisu is creamy and tasty, made with coffee-soaked ladyfingers, sweet and creamy mascarpone, and cocoa powder dusted on top but most importantly is unbelievably EASY to make.
FOR THE MASCARPONE MIXTURE:
FOR THE COFFEE RUM MIXTURE:
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
FOR THE MASCARPONE MIXTURE:
Add just enough water to the gelatin, then microwave for 1 minute to let it melt.
Into a large mixing bowl, using a hand mixer, combine the mascarpone, whipping cream and icing sugar, beat until light and fluffy. Add the warmed gelatin and continue to mix until incorporated.
Into a large mixing bowl, cream the whipping cream, powdered sugar and vanilla until stiff peaks form. Transfer the whipped cream into a piping bag fitted with a star piping tip.
To make the coffee and rum dunking liquid: in a small and shallow bowl, combine the coffee, rum and vanilla extract, stir well.
Dunk one ladyfingers at a time, each dunk is less than a second to prevent the inside of the biscuit from becoming soggy. Prepare an 8x8-inch square pan, fill the bottom with a layer of ladyfingers. Then spread half of the mascarpone mixture over the first layer of ladyfingers. Repeat the action with the second layer of coffee, ladyfingers and mascarpone mixture.
Refrigerate for about 2-4 hours. Dust with cocoa powder using a sieve when you serve it. Do not dust the cocoa powder if you are not eating it right away, because the cocoa might get soggy because of the moisture from the mascarpone.

- 1 1/2 cups strong brewed coffee (see note)
- 1 tablespoon granulated sugar
- 2 tablespoons cocoa powder, divided
- 5 tablespoons coffee liquor such as Kahlua (optional), divided (see note)
- 28 ladyfinger cookies
- 2 cups (about 17 1/2 ounces) mascarpone, slightly softened
- 3 ounces bittersweet chocolate, melted
- 6 tablespoons confectioners sugar, divided
- 1 tablespoon pure vanilla extract, divided
- 2 cups heavy cream, very cold
- Cocoa powder for dusting
In liquid measuring cup, stir together coffee, granulated sugar, 1 tablespoon cocoa, and 4 tablespoons (1/4 cup) coffee liquor. Lay 14 ladyfinger cookies in single layer in bottom of pan. With pastry brush or spoon, douse ladyfingers with 1/2 of coffee mixture.
In large bowl, gently whisk mascarpone, melted chocolate, 3 tablespoons confectioners sugar, remaining 1 tablespoon coffee liquor (if using), and 1 teaspoon vanilla until just combined. Spread over soaked ladyfingers in pan and smooth top. Place 14 more ladyfingers in single layer over mascarpone mixture. Soak with remaining coffee mixture.
Using stand mixer or handheld mixer, whip cream with remaining 3 tablespoons confectioners sugar, remaining tablespoon cocoa, and remaining 2 teaspoons vanilla to medium peaks. Spread over soaked ladyfingers and smooth top.
Chill for 1 to 2 hours to allow ladyfingers to completely soften. Dust with cocoa, cut into squares and serve.
How To Make Easy Tiramisu
- Create the mascarpone filling: Beat the egg yolks with the sugar in your mixer on medium high speed until almost white and thick, could take up to 5 minutes. Add the mascarpone and beat until everything is well combined. The mixture should be quite thick. Fold in the whipped cream or cool whip gently until combined.
- Soak the ladyfingers: In a shallow plate combine the coffee and rum together. Dip the ladyfingers in the coffee mixture one at a time and arrange 24 of them in the bottom of an 9吉 inch baking dish. You don’t have to soak them in the coffee for a long time, just briefly dip them on both sides, no more than a second. If you dip them too long, they will disintegrate.
- Assemble the cake: Spread half of the cheese mixture over the first layer of ladyfingers and repeat with the remaining ladyfingers (dipped in coffee mixture), then cheese mixture. Cover this and refrigerate it for at least 3 hours to overnight. Dust with cocoa powder just before serving. You can also top with white chocolate shavings.

What is Tiramisu?
Tiramisu (from the Italian language, spelled tiramisù, (tiramiˈsu), meaning “pick me up” or “cheer me up”) is a coffee-flavored Italian dessert. It is made of ladyfingers (savoiardi) dipped in coffee, layered with a whipped mixture of eggs, sugar and mascarpone cheese, dusted with cocoa. The recipe has been adapted into many varieties of cakes and other desserts. Its origins are often from Italian regions .
It is one of those fancy desserts that you would never think to make at home , but trust me, making a good tiramisu at home isn’t really that difficult. It is always a big hit with my family! When I tried it for the first time, few years ago, it turned out so much better than I expected, and since then I’ve made it many times .
I prepare them ahead of time or the previous night, and leave it in the refrigerator to set. Made them mostly for my husband or sister’s birthday , so used a round cake pan to layer the tiramisu ( todays recipe is also a round cake shape). But usually it is made in a square / rectangular cake pans, so it is easy to cut the square shape , like how they serve it in the restaurants.
What are ladyfingers and where can I buy them ?
Ladyfingers, or in British English sponge fingers (sometimes known by their Italian name savoiardi [savoˈjardi] or their French one boudoirs [budwaʁ]), are low density, dry, egg-based, sweet sponge biscuits roughly shaped like a large finger. These are a main ingredient in many dessert recipes. They are typically soaked in a sugar syrup or liqueur, or in coffee or espresso for the dessert tiramisu.
Ladyfingers are sold in some grocery stores, and I have found them at few Trader Joes, World Market , and it’s easy to get ladyfingers online @Amazon. ( I used a brand name Marini Savoiardi Italian Ladyfingers from amazon , but you can use other brands as well).
What is Mascarpone and where can I buy them?
Mascarpone is an Italian soft cheese made from cream and resembling cream cheese, that is coagulated by the addition of acidic substances such as lemon juice, vinegar, or citric acid. It is recognized in Italy as a prodotto agroalimentare tradizionale.
They are sold in grocery stores in the refrigerated section , like Walmart , target , trader joes or online. I used a brand name Belgioioso Mascarpone , but you can use other brands too.
If adding rum or Cognac ?
Add 1 to 2 tablespoons of alcohol with the freshly brewed coffee. Then dip the ladyfingers in the coffee – alcohol mixture.
How to store the tiramisu?
Store any leftover in the refrigerator for up to two to three days in a air tight container. After that point, the ladyfingers continue to soften from the moment you start to assemble the dessert , they begin to break down, and the it will become mushy. I’ve not freezed it , so I’m not sure if it work.

Step by step pictures of how to make the Tiramisu
Measure the ingredients and keep it ready – ladyfingers cookies , mascarpone cheese, freshly brewed strong coffee , heavy whipping cream, white granulated sugar ( Divide sugar into 50 grams + 50 grams ), unsweetened cocoa powder, Egg Yolks ( separate egg yolks from white ).
Make the mascarpone and yolk cream
In a bowl , add egg yolks, and one portion of the sugar ( 50 grams) , using a electric mixer with whisk attachment , beat until it triples in volume ( approximately 5 minutes in medium – high speed ). Mixture will turn pale yellow color , and when you lift the whisk , slight ribbon like consistency should fall.
In a separate new bowl , add heavy cream and remaining portion of sugar ( 50 grams), and beat until medium peaks are formed ( peaks will be slightly less stiff and will not stand straight up )( approximately 5 minutes in medium – high speed).
Now add mascarpone cheese and continue to whip until spreadable consistency ( this will take less time , approximately 1 to 2 minutes) .
Slowly cut and fold mascarpone – cream mixture ( little by little) into egg yolks mixture until well combined.
Assemble the tiramisu layers
In a bowl , pour the brewed coffee , and set aside. This is optional – Dust the cake pan ( if using) with cocoa powder using a sifter or use any other flat bottomed container to set / layer the tiramisu. I used 8 inch round cake pan ( It made three layers, you could also use rectangular / square pans too) . Now take each ladyfingers cookie and “quickly” dip it in the coffee ( don’t leave the cookie too long in the coffee , it will break), and place them in the cake pan .
Repeat until you form the base cookie layer. Spread evenly the prepared mascarpone – egg mixture over the ladyfingers .
Arrange second layer of soaked ladyfingers, and top it with mascarpone mixture, repeat the same with the third layer ( spread the top layer evenly with the cream).
Sprinkle the top layer fully with cocoa powder. Cover, and refrigerate for at least 4 to 6 hours, or until set (or leave it over night ).

- 1 3/4 cups (361g) sugar
- 12 tablespoons (170g) unsalted butter, at room temperature, at least 65°F
- 3 large eggs, at room temperature
- 3 tablespoons (43g) vanilla extract
- 2 3/4 cups (326g) King Arthur Unbleached All-Purpose Flour
- 2 1/2 teaspoons baking powder
- 3/4 teaspoon salt
- 1 cup (227g) whole milk, at room temperature
- 3 tablespoons (43g) coffee liqueur
- 2 tablespoons (14g) espresso powder
- 3 tablespoons (35g) sugar
- 3/4 cup (170g) hot water
- 1 cup (227g) mascarpone cheese
- 2 cups (454g) heavy cream
- 2/3 cup (71g) confectioners' sugar
- 4 teaspoons Instant ClearJel
- 1/2 cup (113g) amaretto liqueur
To make the cupcakes: In a large mixing bowl, beat together the sugar and butter until light and fluffy.
Beat in the eggs one at a time, making sure each one is fully incorporated. Add the vanilla.
In a separate bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, and salt.
Perfect your technique
Alternate adding the flour mixture and milk to the butter mixture, starting and ending with the flour mixture. Scrape down the sides and mix again, to be sure everything is incorporated.
Spoon the batter into paper-lined cupcake pans (grease the insides of the papers). Bake for about 20 to 25 minutes, or until the cake springs back when lightly touched.
Remove the cupcakes from the oven and place on a rack for 5 minutes. After 5 minutes, tilt the pan and take the cupcakes out, returning them to the rack to finish cooling completely.
To make the soak: Mix the espresso powder, liqueur, and sugar into the hot water.
Using a fork, poke the tops of each cupcake a couple of times. Sprinkle or brush a small amount of the soak over each cupcake, and allow it to soak in.
To make the frosting: Combine the mascarpone and heavy cream in a large bowl and whisk at low speed until the mixture is smooth.
Whisk together the confectioners' sugar and ClearJel, and slowly add to the mixture, followed by the amaretto. Increase speed to medium-high and whisk until medium peaks form.
Pipe the frosting over the cupcakes, then dust with cocoa. Chill until ready to serve.
Tips from our Bakers
Want to make these cupcakes gluten-free? Start by substituting Gluten-Free Measure for Measure Flour for the all-purpose flour in the cupcake batter.
To make the soak: Follow the directions above using 1/2 cup (113g) strongly brewed coffee and 1/4 cup (50g) sugar in place of the coffee liqueur, espresso powder, and water.
To make the frosting: In a small bowl, sprinkle 1 teaspoon powdered gelatin over 2 tablespoons cold water let stand for 5 minutes. Heat briefly in the microwave, stirring every 5 to 10 seconds until dissolved. Add 1/4 cup amaretto liqueur and set aside. Combine 1 cup (227g) mascarpone cheese and 1 cup (227g) heavy cream in a large bowl and whisk at low speed until the mixture is smooth. Add 1/3 cup (35g) confectioners' sugar and increase speed to medium. Once soft peaks form, add the gelatin mixture at low speed. Increase speed to medium and whisk until medium peaks form.
The Breakdown of Tiramisu
Classic tiramisu recipes can be broken down into 2 main components—coffee-soaked ladyfingers and mascarpone cream. The mascarpone cream can then be broken down into two more components—an egg yolk mixture and whipped heavy cream with mascarpone mixture (some recipes also use a meringue, but I found that that didn’t make a big difference so I skipped it).
Preparing the Ladyfingers
To prepare the ladyfingers, start by brewing a strong cup of instant coffee and adding some liquor (I used brandy but you can also use dark rum). Most recipes online call for espresso powder, but that can be difficult to find. Instead, I found that you could achieve the same taste by doubling the amount of instant coffee per cup that is recommended on the package (i.e. if the package recommends using 2 tablespoons of instant coffee per cup of hot water, make the coffee using 4 tablespoons of instant coffee instead).
After the coffee mixture is prepared, all you need to do is quickly dip both sides of each ladyfinger in the mixture. Work with one ladyfinger at a time, and don’t soak the ladyfingers for too long in the mixture, or else they will get too soggy.
To start, only prepare half of the ladyfingers and arrange them in a way such that they cover the entire bottom layer of your baking tray. You might need to break some of the ladyfingers to get a good fit. The rest of the ladyfingers will be prepared after the mascarpone cream.
Preparing the Mascarpone Cream
For the mascarpone cream, the egg yolk mixture and the heavy cream with mascarpone mixture will be prepared in separate bowls and folded together. This creates a fluffy cream that is rich in taste.
To make the egg yolk mixture, whip (with whisk or hand mixer) together egg yolks and sugar. Many tiramisu recipes will have you do this step in a double boiler to pasteurize the eggs, but that adds a lot of extra complexity. For this easy tiramisu recipe, I use pasteurized eggs that are already safe to eat raw so we can skip the double boiler. If your eggs are not pasteurized, you can check out Sally’s Baking Addiction’s recipe to see how you can do this step in a double boiler.
Keep whipping the egg yolks and sugar until the mixture is a pale yellow and falls off of the whisk in ribbons when lifted up. You should be able to see the ribbons remain on the surface of the mixture for a second before they reintegrate.
To make the heavy cream with mascarpone mixture, start by whipping heavy cream and sugar until medium peaks form. When you lift the whisk, the tip of the peak that is formed should fold over, but the rest of the peak should hold its shape. If the peak stands straight up, you have firm peaks, and if the entire peak looks like it’s sagging, you have soft peaks. Don’t worry if your peaks are on the firmer side though, it’ll still taste great!
After medium peaks are formed, simply whip in the mascarpone and brandy until a smooth mixture is created.
When both the egg yolk mixture and heavy cream with mascarpone mixture are done, gently fold in the heavy cream mixture into the egg yolk mixture. Once it’s fully mixed in, you have your mascarpone cream filling!
With the ladyfingers and mascarpone cream completed, it’s time to assemble the tiramisu!
Spread half of the mascarpone mixture on top of the ladyfingers that are already in the baking tray, trying to flatten the top of the cream as evenly as possible. Then prepare the rest of the ladyfingers and arrange in another tight layer on top of the cream. Finally, spread the remaining mascarpone cream on top of the ladyfingers and dust with a thick coat of cocoa powder.
That’s all there is to it! Just refrigerate overnight to let the flavors fully integrate, and you are ready to enjoy this delicious tiramisu!

- 1/3 cup sweetened condensed milk
- pinch of salt, (optional)
- 2 tbsp. cocoa powder, for dusting
Tiramisu Cooking Instructions:
- In a mixing bowl combine cream cheese, chilled nestle cream, sweetened condensed milk and a pinch of salt.
- Whisk until smooth and well combined, refrigerate until needed.
- Meanwhile, mix a strong coffee powder in warm water and add less sugar than you usually put on your regular coffee and stir until sugar dissolve, set aside.
- Prepare a 7×11 baking dish or any available glass dish you have.
- Dip the lady fingers into the coffee just enough to wet, do not soak them.
- Arrange coffee dipped lady fingers in the bottom of your baking dish until fully covered.
- Spoon 1/3 part of your cream mixture over the lady fingers and spread evenly.
- Repeat process with other remaining 2 layers until done and ended with cream mixture on top.
- Dust evenly with cocoa powder on top and top with shaved or chopped chocolate for decoration if using.
- Refrigerate for about 4 hours or overnight to make the cake layer becomes firm and easy to slice.

Whisk the eggs and sugar in a heatproof bowl set over a pot of simmering water.
Whisk in the marsala and cook mixture for 10 minutes, whisking constantly until thickened.
Remove from heat and whisk a few minutes.
Stir the mascarpone into the yolk mixture.

Out of all of the times, I've been enjoying this indulgent delight and I had no clue it had alcohol in it. I'm wondering, Does it generally contain alcohol and would it be just as delicious if I were to exclude it completely? I've never used mascarpone cheese before but I'm really excited to try it in this recipe and I'm thinking dark chocolate would be an amazing compliment to the espresso flavor.

I can honestly say this has to be the best tiramisu recipe I've had! The coffee part is not bitter at all, the way some are - it's smooth and creamy, and the chocolate on top is the perfect flavor and texture to complement this dessert. I may have to have seconds.

Terms & Conditions
You must enter into this Agreement if you want to submit digital images or other content to Prime Publishing through Sharing Customer Images (the "Service"). As used in this Agreement, "we" or "Prime Publishing" means Prime Publishing, LLC. and "you" means the individual or entity submitting materials to Prime Publishing. Any individual or entity that wants to use the Service must accept the terms of this Agreement without change. BY CLICKING THE ACCEPT TERMS AND CONDITIONS BUTTON, YOU AGREE TO BE BOUND BY ALL TERMS OF THIS AGREEMENT AND ALL SPECIFICATIONS AND GUIDELINES INCORPORATED BY REFERENCE.
1) Eligibility. You may only submit Materials to the Service for which you hold all intellectual property rights. In other words, if you submit a digital image to us, you must own all rights to such image or you must have the authorization of the person who does own those rights. The Service is limited to parties that lawfully can enter into and form contracts under applicable law. Minors may not submit Materials to the Service. Further, you may not submit any personally identifiable information about any child under the age of 13.
2) Definitions. As used in this Agreement, (a) "Affiliates" means any entity controlled by, in control of, or under common control with Prime Publishing, (b) "Materials" means all content that you submit to Prime Publishing, including all photographs, illustrations, graphics and text, and (c) "Media" means any means of conveying information, whether now known or hereafter devised.
3) License Grant for Materials. You hereby grant to Prime Publishing and its Affiliates a worldwide, nonexclusive, royalty-free, perpetual right and license to (a) reproduce, distribute, transmit, publicly perform and publicly display the Materials, in whole or in part, in any manner and Media, (b) modify, adapt, translate and create derivative works from the Materials, in whole or in part, in any manner and Media, and (c) sublicense the foregoing rights, in whole or in part, to any third party, with or without a fee.
4) Removal of Materials. If you decide you would like to remove your Materials from the Service, you may provide written notice to Prime Publishing by either deleting the image through the Prime Publishing interface or by contacting Prime Publishing customer service, and Prime Publishing will remove such Materials from the Service within a reasonable period of time.
5) License for Name, Trademarks and Likenesses. You hereby grant to Prime Publishing, its Affiliates and sublicensees a nonexclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to use all trademarks, trade names, and the names and likenesses of any individuals that appear in the Materials. You grant Prime Publishing, its Affiliates and sublicensees the right to use the name that you submit in connection with the Materials.
6) Specifications and Guidelines. You agree to submit Materials to us in accordance with all guidelines for use of the Service posted on the Prime Publishing web site or of which you are otherwise notified ("Guidelines"), as these Guidelines may be changed in the future.
7) Representations, Warranties and Indemnities. You represent and warrant to Prime Publishing and its Affiliates that (a) you have the right, power, and authority necessary to enter into this Agreement, to fully perform your obligations hereunder, and to grant the licenses set forth in Paragraphs 3 and 5 above, (b) you will comply fully with all terms of this Agreement, (c) the Materials submitted to Prime Publishing by you, and Prime Publishing's and its Affiliates' exercise of their rights hereunder, do not and will not violate, misappropriate or infringe any intellectual property right, including but not limited to trademark rights, copyrights, moral rights and publicity rights of any third party, (d) you possess all rights necessary for the reproduction, distribution, transmission, public performance, public display, and other exploitation of the Materials by Prime Publishing and its Affiliates as permitted hereunder, (e) the Materials are not pornographic, obscene, libelous, defamatory, tortious, or otherwise unlawful, and (f) all factual statements submitted by you are accurate and not misleading. You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold Prime Publishing and its Affiliates harmless from all claims, liabilities, damages, and expenses (including, without limitation, reasonable attorneys' fees and expenses) arising from your breach of any representation or warranty set forth in this paragraph.
8) Restrictions. You agree that you will not submit Materials that are unlawful, pornographic, libelous, defamatory, tortious, obscene, or racially, ethnically or otherwise objectionable, or that otherwise violate general Prime Publishing community standards. We expressly reserve the right to remove or not make available any Materials that we deem to be in violation of this Agreement, applicable laws or our community standards in our sole discretion. You agree that you will not upload, post, e-mail or otherwise transmit Materials to us or our Affiliates that contain software viruses or any other computer code, files, or programs designed to interrupt, destroy or limit the functionality of any computer software or hardware or telecommunications equipment.
9) No Obligation. Although we have the right to include your Materials in the Service or in any Media, we do not have the obligation to do so. We may, in our sole discretion and for any reason, refuse the Materials or remove them from our Service at any time.
10) Changes to Agreement. We reserve the right to change any of the terms of this Agreement or any Specifications or Guidelines governing the Service at any time in our sole discretion. All changes will be effective upon posting to the Service. However, for all changes to this Agreement, excluding Specifications and Guidelines, we will post a notice of change for thirty (30) days. You are responsible for reviewing the notice and any applicable changes. YOUR CONTINUED USE OF THIS SERVICE FOLLOWING OUR POSTING OF ANY CHANGES WILL CONSTITUTE YOUR ACCEPTANCE OF SUCH CHANGES.
11) Prime Publishing Intellectual Property. Without our prior written consent, you may not use our intellectual property, including, without limitation, our trademarks, trade names, trade dress, or copyrighted material, in any manner.
12) Communications. Prime Publishing and its Affiliates may communicate with you in connection with the Service, electronically and in other Media, and you consent to such communications regardless of any "Customer Communication Preferences" (or similar preferences or requests) you may have indicated on the web sites of Prime Publishing or its Affiliates or by any other means.
13) Waiver. PRIME PUBLISHING AND ITS AFFILIATES WILL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, OR CONSEQUENTIAL DAMAGES (INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO SUCH DAMAGES ARISING FROM BREACH OF CONTRACT OR WARRANTY OR FROM NEGLIGENCE OR STRICT LIABILITY) ARISING OUT OF OR IN CONNECTION WITH THIS AGREEMENT, EVEN IF WE HAVE BEEN ADVISED OF (OR KNEW OR SHOULD KNOWN OF) THE POSSIBILITY OF SUCH DAMAGES.
14) Disclaimer. PRIME PUBLISHING PROVIDES THE SERVICE "AS IS" WITHOUT WARRANTY OF ANY KIND.
15) Miscellaneous. This Agreement will be governed by the laws of the United States of America and the state of Washington, without reference to rules governing choice of laws. Any action relating to this Agreement must be brought in the federal or state courts located in Seattle, Washington, and you irrevocably consent to the jurisdiction of such courts. You may not assign this Agreement, by operation of law or otherwise, without our prior written consent. Subject to that restriction, this Agreement will be binding on, inure to, and be enforceable against the parties and their respective successors and permitted assigns. Our failure to enforce your strict performance of any provision of this Agreement will not constitute a waiver of our right to enforce such provision or any other provision of this Agreement subsequently. The Specifications and Guidelines (including all future changes) are incorporated by reference into this Agreement. This Agreement is in addition to, and does not supersede or modify, the terms and conditions of use of the web sites of Prime Publishing and its Affiliates.
Sharing Your Own Images
You! Anyone who is a registered and logged in user.
Please share images that will help other visitors. For example:
- Images that highlight a article's features ("Here are the controls on this music player", "See the clasp for this necklace", "Look at the box this came in")
- Images showing someone using a product ("Here I am wearing this scarf", "Install the ink cartridge here")
- Images related to a topic ("My dog Skipper", "A great outfit", "Our family at Yellowstone", "How to glue a chair using a cabinet clamp")
- Images that show how a product performs ("I took this picture with this camera", "This shirt shrunk in the wash", "The saw blade after 100 cuts")
- Images that give a sense of the size of the product ("This refrigerator is actually 6' tall", "A cellphone the size of a credit card")
Do include captions for your images. While not required, they provide context for your images. Additionally, you can use the Image Notes feature to highlight one or more interesting areas in your image. Everyone will see your notes when they roll over your image.
What shouldn't I share?
Behave as if you were a guest at a friend's dinner party: please treat the Prime Publishing community with respect. Do not share:
- Profane, obscene, or spiteful images, or any images with nudity
- Images to which you do not own the intellectual property rights
- Images featuring phone numbers, mail addresses, or URLs. You can watermark an image with copyright information.
- Images featuring availability, price, or alternative ordering/shipping information
- Images featuring external Web sites, contests, or other solicitations
- Any personal information about children under 13
- Images with automobile license plates that are prominent and easily read (pictures with license plates that have been fuzzed out or that otherwise cannot be read are acceptable).
The same guidelines apply to your captions and notes.
What image formats and sizes are supported?
We support JPEG, GIF and PNG images. Files must be no more than 1MB. Both the image height and the image width must be between 60 and 3500 pixels.
Instead of uploading an image, can I just enter a link to an image?
No, all images must be uploaded to Prime Publishing. This ensures your image is always available.
How long does it take to upload an image?
The time varies depending on the speed of your Internet connection and the size of the image file. For a 400KB image, for example, you should expect 2 to 4 minutes over a 56KB modem and under 1 minute for DSL or cable modem.
Where will my image appear?
Generally your image will appear where you uploaded it: in the article image gallery.
Who owns the images I upload?
The rights owner of the image continues to own the image uploading your image to Prime Publishing does not transfer ownership.
